The Scaglione family has owned this business since the middle of the 19th century. At that time Captain Gioacchino Scaglione (president of delegation of the province)
and his wife Eugenia Frizzoni (a noble family from Bergamo), decided
to spend part of their summer vacation in the countryside surrounding the village of San Piero Patti. The Scaglione family originated, in fact, from this part of the world and it is for this reason that they chose this spot to build “Palazzo Scaglione”, where the Scaglione-Galvagno family live to this day.
The palazzo is surrounded by an Italian style park where rare trees grow and on the borders of which peasant houses and stables dating back to the 18th century are still present.
Today these buildings have been restructured so as to provide suitable lodgings for the guests, a restauant as well as suitable rooms for meetings and receptions.
